AI Usage Disclaimer
AI tools (Claude and ChatGPT, via Anthropic and OpenAI) were used extensively throughout the creation of this work.
Neither “AI-generated” nor “human-written” accurately captures the process.
The original story, which was a passion project developed years ago, was adapted to a western setting for creative freedom. English is not the author’s dominant writing language, and AI tools made the project possible.
Early drafts originated in GPT, were revised with Claude under a custom constraint library built by the author, and then rewritten extensively by the author directly. Most AI-generated material was discarded during revision. The author’s role is architect, director, and final editorial authority. The AI is supervised labor.
In practice:
- Plot, characters, structure, and narrative architecture are the author’s.
- Character voice at its most distinctive tends to originate from the author’s direct writing.
- Prose at the sentence level: some lines are the author’s, some are AI-generated, some have been rewritten enough times by both parties that origin is no longer meaningfully assignable.
- Continuity, canon enforcement, and worldbuilding logistics are the author’s. AI tools were used as research aids.
A personal note from the author:
This pipeline is not something I recommend. It would have been far easier to simply write the damn thing myself, if I had the English fluency to do so. Then again, the story existed for twenty years in a language I’m fluent in, and that fluency never got it finished. This did.
